When your home is well insulated, it’s warmer in winter and cooler in summer, and drier all year round. Rely less on energy-guzzling heating systems, and enjoy lower power bills – music to your ears if you’re an average New Zealand household using 35% of energy requirements just to warm your home. And research proves that health issues amongst children and adults are significantly reduced, meaning fewer sick days. A warmer, drier home, more cash in your wallet and a healthy family – it’s got to be a good thing!
How it all works – Funding, Insulation, Energy Efficiency:
Firstly one of our consultants assesses your existing insulation as per programme requirements, and then measures the home. A detailed recommendation is then provided by the consultant.
The installers are the guys who perform the magic. They crawl around under low houses, often with damp soil, or in ceilings, sometimes with interesting creatures to share the environment! These guys do it! And still smile all week long!
Most homes take around 5 hours to complete. Underfloor product is stapled up into the floor joists. In the ceiling we use blanket product, which effectively seals the warmth in, but in summer keeps the heat out! Warm in winter, cool in summer, and doesn’t cost a bean to run – what more could you ask for?
Obviously, the real driver for installing insulation is energy efficiency. With 35% of most households’ energy bill used for heating, the investment soon pays for itself, to say nothing of the comfort factor.
All insulation is installed according to EECA’s Quality & Audit Manual. Each job is audited and signed off. You can rest assured your Kensair insulation solution will be 100%.
